Medication Adherence and its Related Factors in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

Background: One of the public health challenges in worldwide is diabetes, and adherence to treatment crucial. Adherence can help reduce complications disease. Therefore, this study was performed evaluate status among patients with type 2 diabetes Khorramabad. Materials Methods: In cross-sectional study, 392 men women referred comprehensive centers Khorramabad between May August 2016 were studied. Demographic questionnaire Morisky Medication Scale (MMAS-8) used collect data. Version 22 SPSS descriptive analysis analyze Significance level present less than 0.05. Descriptive tests, Chi-square, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test used. Results: The mean age participants 56.03 ± 10.91. 68.9% (270 people) 31/1% (122 men. According score obtained from questionnaire, a total 219 (55/9%) followed desired 173 (44/1%) unfavorable treatment. There significant relationship patients' variables gender, marital status, educational their monthly income. No statistically employment observed. Conclusion: Findings showed that good level. Health policy makers should strive ensure all adhere process easy access services reduced costs.
